  Doctor's Notes:

I would be happy to talk with you regarding any concerns you have about your child or adolescent, and to help you determine what kind of assistance might be beneficial. I thoroughly enjoy my work with children, adolescents, and families. My clients describe my approach as friendly, down-to-earth, and practical.

I have been in private practice for about 15 years. I work holistically with my clients, treating them as individuals, but also as members of their families and social groups. I use an integrated approach to treatment, drawing from various treatment perspectives such as psychodynamic, behavioral, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), and systems theory.

I assess children and treat them using individual therapy, family therapy, and parent coaching. Common concerns include anxiety, sadness, phobias, separation anxiety, ADHD, trauma, peer relationships, sibling rivalry, aggressiveness, social anxiety, loss, tantrums, toileting, and parenting concerns. I coordinate as needed with teachers, pediatricians, and psychiatrists.

I also work with adolescents to help them navigate the difficult social and emotional challenges they face today, such as family conflict, depression, anxiety, social issues, school stress, loss, and motivation problems. I love working with adolescents, and as a parent of two of them, I am very familiar with their issues, as well as with the difficulties associated with parenting them.

I hope that you will contact me if you have concerns about your child or adolescent, or if you feel that you could use some assistance with parenting.
